Ask only the two things that actually shape the feed, then 'Enter Talkie' and you're in. No signup wall, no 20-question quiz.

Straight from that one form into a live character feed, no account required. For these apps the aha is having a conversation, and highest intent is right now. Getting there in two taps beats a carousel explaining what the app does.

The character cards are user-generated and the bios run deep: 'your enemy, your brothers best friend, green eyes black hair, hates but loves you at the same time.' The feed of creator characters is doing the value-prop work a normal onboarding would, except it's free content and there's an endless supply of it.

Valerie's card has a 'you pick the story' branch ('she told you to come over but to sneak in, you went through her window, what do you see'). Interactive choose-your-own instead of a flat chat. You're making choices, not just reading, which is the engagement hook that gets the first message sent.

The 'game guesser' character will 'guess your fav game within 20 questions.' A mini-game wrapped in a chat. It gives people a concrete reason to send that first message, which is the activation event for a companion app. Once you're typing, you're in.

Tapping the gacha pulls a modal: 'Gacha, Free times: 1, Cancel / Confirm.' One free pull, then it becomes an earned or paid resource. The scarcity makes the free spin feel worth using and sets up the in-app economy. There's no subscription wall in this flow. The money is the gacha and connector economy, not a paywall.
