No onboarding at all. They drop you straight onto the home screen with a search bar, a tool grid, and a 'Start from Photo' CTA. This is the AI-app playbook taken to the extreme: get to value as fast as possible, skip the quiz, let the product be the pitch. The risk is the cold open does no expectation-setting and no personalization, so a first-timer has to self-navigate to their aha moment. (Note the 'Oops, Something went wrong' error here is a capture artifact, not the intended state.)

The contextual paywall, 'Max' tab selected: 'Powerful. Scalable. Built from growing brands.' at $34.99/month or $249.99/year with a 7-day free trial. The Pro/Max toggle is a clean three-tier comparison that lets you trade up, but defaulting a self-serve mobile user into the $250/yr Max tier is aggressive. For an AI app where people 'want to try it out,' I'd test landing them on the cheaper Pro tier first and letting the power users opt up.

The 'Pro' tab of the same paywall: 'Sharp. Seamless. Built to help you sell.' at $5.99/week or $89.99/year, annual pre-selected, 7-day trial. This is the right instinct for an AI app. A low weekly price ($5.99) as a try-it entry point, with the annual as the default anchor. The copy is benefit-led and segment-aware ('help you sell' speaks straight to the resellers and Shopify crowd), which is sharper than generic feature-listing.

This tool gallery is the actual onboarding. 'AI Backgrounds,' 'Virtual model,' 'Ghost mannequin,' 'Video generator,' template classics, blank canvas. Letting people browse and feel the breadth of value before any wall is exactly right for a utility. I'd want one tap to land a brand-new user in a finished result fast (drop a photo, watch the background vanish) rather than leaving them to pick from a wall of options cold.

The AI Tools hub. 'Recolor,' 'Product Beautifier,' 'Virtual Model,' 'Product Staging,' 'See 28 more.' Strong perceived value: the surface area itself sells the subscription. With usage metered (the space sheet shows '0/250' exports), this is a freemium credit model. Let people taste the AI, then the meter and the 'Get Pro' button in the corner do the converting contextually instead of a hard upfront wall.

Sign-in is deferred and optional. 'Sign in to save and edit your images,' Google/Apple/Facebook/Email, and it's framed by benefit (save your work) rather than gating entry. Pushing account creation deep, after people have felt the value, is the right call for completion; the tradeoff is you capture the email later and lose the high-intent first-session signal. For an AI app that fits, since the product, not the login, is the hook.

A 'Teams' upsell sheet. Collaborate, comment, brand kit, shared templates. Surfaced contextually. Smart segmentation: the solo reseller and the brand team are different buyers at different price points, and breaking Teams out as its own product (rather than burying it in one paywall) lets them charge the team buyer more. This is the 'different people perceive value differently' equation in action.

The space sheet exposes the metered model: 'AI images 0% used, AI videos 0% used, Exports 0/250 used, reset on Mar 3.' This is the conversion engine for a freemium utility. Visible quota that depletes as you get value, so the upgrade ask lands when you're already invested and bumping the ceiling. I'd make sure the meter is visible in-context while you're working, not just buried in this account sheet.
