Social / Communitypaywall: none during onboardingvalue prop carousel
screen 11
Cold open is a single match flaring in the dark. No logo, no value prop, just mood. For a vibe-led social app that's a deliberate choice, but it's also runway where the user can't do anything yet. I'd test how much of this film you actually need before someone taps.

'through new experiences...' over a grainy candid shot. The disposable-camera look is doing the positioning work: real-life moments, not a feed. They're selling the feeling before explaining the mechanic.

'through spending our time together.' The pitch is anti-screen-time, aimed at people burned out on dating apps and scrolling. Naming the enemy, your phone, is a clean way to make a social app feel like the cure.

'what happened to chance?' is the thesis. It frames the problem (apps optimized away serendipity) and makes you a little nostalgic before they sell the fix. Stronger hook than the wordless match intro, I'd move it earlier.

Brand reveal lands here: a disco ball and 'welcome to 222', a good way into the film. It's pretty, but someone 30 seconds in still doesn't know what the app actually does.

Start of a 'this is not X' run: not a dating app, not mindless scrolling, not random, not a friend-making service. Defining yourself by what you're not works when you're a new category. It borrows the mental models people already have (Tinder, TikTok) and pushes off them.

'this is not random' over an actual 222 dinner, a full table of strangers mid-meal. This is the frame that shows the product. After all the mood, the proof that it's real people at a real table is what I'd pull closer to the front.

Closer is the tagline 'choose chance,' which bookends the 'what happened to chance?' opening. Clean loop. The open question is whether the user keeps that intent through to signup, since the film never asked them to do anything.

Recording ends back at the App Store. So the whole capture is the brand film: no signup, quiz, or paywall in frame. The film's only job is to build enough desire that you'll go through whatever signup comes next.
